Magical Scenery to explore
So much to see and do
Auberge Carnish has now closed and and has been sold as a private house.
If you are going to journey to the Outer Isles you will want to stay in one of the most beautiful parts. On the west coast of the Hebridean island of Lewis, approximately 38 miles from Stornoway lies Uig, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The working croft on which Auberge is built tumbles down to meet the turquoise ocean joined by the peaty Red River, a stunning two mile stretch of white, shell sand and great views into the Uig hills – imagine. A perfect location.
Richard and his wife Jo-Ann are the “original” patrons of the acclaimed Bonaventure Restaurant with rooms they cultivated a reputation for great food that celebrated a Franco-Hebridean fusion – they will continued in the same vein with Auberge Carnish. They are now focusing their skills on providing luxurious holiday accommodation.
